It died for me when they changed clan wars and forced clans into those boring team battles where you bring a generic settup for random ass tier 8 fights. Absolutely boring. That, and despite 14k battles I didn't have much for top tier tanks. Just takes too long. Meta changes too fast. I got my OBJ 907 the hard way when it was first introduced. Had an email a couple years ago saying someone tried to get into my old account. I reinstalled just to change the password in case I ever get back to it. But I doubt I will because it's still too reliant on shit that isn't clan wars and I'm just not interested in anything else.

The minimap is an easy to understand interface that can be learned in 5 minutes...yet the majority of the playerbase pretend it's not there.

I play Wot from the beginning and I still enjoy it.I only spend money for premium account.I bought T34 premium tank in the beginning to make credits.I really dont see any big problem.

I saw the writing on the walls years ago. I ended up giving up and moving to War Thunder. I never looked back

I left years ago. They have have consistently changed the game in a negative way that just made it unbearable if you are a casual player. The game is changing faster and faster and old school players like me just can’t keep up.

Heres my issues... You log on. Wait 3 minutes for match maker to PICK them same insufferable and incredibly fishy 50-60% winrate players to go on the enemy team. They never miss, they also crit the most important modules, spend 0 time aiming and yet hit weaks spots or dont and still ignore the armor or its actual effective thickness and pen anyway. Then, on top of that, with a short glance of the enemy team, you can tell you're going to lose. Then, the RNG confirms this by simply throwing your rounds away from enemies and bouncing weak spots. It feels like im playing war thunder when im shot. Yet when i shoot their tank i crit nothing and low roll. Matches last a few short minutes. Then there's blantant cheaters that go unchecked. Im even getting lag switched regularly at this point as ONLY my PC loses internet connection. Log back in and im dead. Campaign missions are impossible... once again the battle pass token tanks like the campaign ones are impossible to attain in a timely manner... even with a million premium tanks the games a grind.. Economy is horrible without premium tanks namely losing 30,000 credits a match at tier 10 without firing too many shots and dying. I think even fixing just the match maker would be great. Instead of fighting these 0 IQ goofs that need their ego stroked by winning in pre-decided matches constantly..

There were a lot of WoT content creators inducing new players to fast grind the game, on recent years. That meant that some of players reached the higher tiers without spending some time trying to learn the game mechanics, to at least "raise the bar" of the gameplay on higher tiers. I understand that people have two ways of playing a game: the competitive way and the "forfun" way. And the forfun way isn't really bad, but if you choose to play on a competitive tier (high tiers), this can bring some frustration for the "other players", as some are saying on other comments (the frustration of the 0x15, 1x15, 2x15 scores). I play the game since 2015. When the "recent" conflict erupt at the eastern Europe, the financial problems started on the russian area (NATO/USA bank/financial measures). The RU server is the biggest server for the game (as the game was developed on Minsk, Belarus), and then it forced WG to develop a solution, and the solution was to migrate some things to Cyprus. This "re-engineering" of the company had (and still having) effects, meaning little new content for the game, and as we know, any moving means spending money, so they need more money, and... you got the idea: milk it from the players as much as it can in "short period". I think that the game will still be on the market, with some high player numbers on at least RU and EU. Not sure on NA (I'm from Brazil, and we use some of their server, yet we have the South American server... slowly dying. It's based in Sao Paulo city). The main question is: where to move? This is a very specific niche of game. War Thunder isn't a viable alternative for most of WoT players. WG showed a new game, that is "kind of" based on WoT PC, named Project CW (CW standing for Cold War), that shows "some possibility" to grow. Other game developing companies didn't brought any game that can/could replace the niche that is World of Tanks. We're lacking that.

Honestly I want to go back to when they had just changed the monetization of shells, when high pen shells were changed from costing gold to silver. Even though you had way fewer features of the minimap, and the matchmaker wasnt the best, it was at least a good game that didnt feel unplayable against a bunch of op premiums.

I quit W.O.T. about a year ago and to be completely honest I don't feel like going back to it. What used to be a funny and enjoyable game became a boring and frustrating experience. Back in the day it took a skill and knowledge to play. I remember playing E-100 when gold ammo used to be GOLD ammo. And... It was so good. Before I quit I decided to play it once again for nostalgia and it was pain... Yep it was still playable... But that was all. I personally think that WG is dedicated to kill the game. It began in 2017 and its going to end soon. They have proven that they do not care about the community whatsoever and when I saw the new monetized events that took place this year I fear same as you do Kajzoo that they will shut it down in near future. Same happend to Heroes and Generals for example. What a great game it used to be... It can be saved... as we can see on RU server. But... I am worried that they don't want that to happen. Just for the sake of cash... +-300 million dollars in revenue in 2023... Gosh. WG does not deserve the love and care you or anyone gives them. For they showed us that only thing they care for is money. Its just sad. This game have so much potential and sadly it seems that all of this potential is going to die one day... all thanks to greed.

Regarding that ninja turtle thing , World of Warships added Heroes 3 content due to a small community made mod for the game (which is 20+ years old) and btw the background music for that section of the video is from that game

You make interesting arguments, but I doubt WOTs will shut down anytime soon. World of Warships (which is what I play) will die before WOTs- which has a player base that is three times bigger than WOWs. WOWs has practically the same problems as WOTs. I would suggest to also keep your eye on WOWs, the moment that begins to die, then maybe WOTs will follow.

I played for 10 years on console woth my clan I miss gameing with them but I just can't do the game anymore they have a terrible balance in the game and cost way to much to play

someone needs to do a helldivers (in the first month don't do what they did in the fowling months) and make a tank game to dump on WoT.
